Challenges Facing Marketers Today

When I ask businesses about the key marketing challenges that inhibit growth, these are the top 3:

1. Customer data not utilized effectively to improve CX,
which affects the brand
2. Departments working in silos even though the C-Suite want alignment
3. Investment in customer related tech is a bottleneck because Finance wants ROI justification and IT wants to control the process

Since I do this for a living, I know that there are no easy solutions. But it is possible to work on this and bring about alignment.

Today’s Marketing Leader must wear many hats 🎩.
The Brand Hat, the Data Hat, the Tech Hat, the Revenue Hat, the People Influencer Hat, the Sales Hat, the Distribution Hat, the Finance Hat.

Without understanding the dynamics and priorities of each department, it’s hard to change how the organization approaches Marketing.

But what the Marketing Leader also fervently wishes for is that everyone else should stop wearing the Marketing Hat!
