What is the Future Of Work?

What is the Future of Work?

To me, it is the following, in no particular order:

1. The ability to work out of anywhere
2. Be responsible for outcomes, not inputs (time, files, documents)
3. Abolition of timesheets in industries and roles where time is not an indicator of productivity
4. No meetings that could have been slack messages, emails or a quick phone call
5. Collaboration through tools rather than unending email threads
6. Easily accessible information and comments on shared drives rather than asking people to send files with POVs
7. Meetings scheduled only after everyone has read the advance information (much like online courses which are complete only after one has covered all the material)
8. No meetings without a defined agenda (free ranging brainstorm is also an agenda)
9. Taking leave when you need it as long as you fulfil the objectives overall
10. A non-toxic work environment

What it is not, which seems to be the primary focus these days:
* The ability to work from your home in pyjamas but spend the whole day in zoom calls (ok, I can get behind pyjamas)

What do you think?
